Upon diagnosis, I realized that while incredible doctors, researchers, and thousands of people work tirelessly towards a cure, there was healing I needed to do on my own. The first bit of intuition I had was that ALS is a disease of the nerves, the wiring that connects the brain to the body. My soul begged the questions: How did my wiring get damaged? What could I do to fix it?

Not knowing where to begin, I started reading books on healing and the mind body connection. Over fifty books and two years later, I have changed, and my life has changed in extraordinary ways. I have learned and experienced that health is more than physical, it's also mental, emotional, and spiritual. 

Below, I share a list of books I've read. I know first-hand that a diagnosis and disease can feel like an impossible circumstance. But finding the courage to look within, I've discovered a path to hope, faith, awakening and transformation.
